Improving Literacy through Technology project is trialing the use of an interactive web-based multimedia tool called ABRACADABRA to improve literacy skills and education outcomes among 4-8 year old Northern Territory school children, particularly targeted at Indigenous students. The ACT Indigenous Literacy and Numeracy Consultant Program focuses on developing classroom programs to meet the learning needs of Indigenous students identified as requiring further support in the areas of literacy and numeracy. In addition, the Teachers of Indigenous Students Network (TISN) supports teachers to provide quality educational programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME)

AIME is a mentoring program for Indigenous high school students with Sydney University students as mentors. It is a four year experience where schools commence with the Year 9 program of interactive educational workshops. Students then progress into the year 10 leadership program before earning the opportunity to receive one on one tutoring from the AIME year 11 and 12 tutoring wing of the program.
